Logar province, especially Baraki Barak district’s Baraki Rajan area, has for years faced a severe shortage of schools and educational facilities. Economic poverty, prolonged wars, and the long distance of schools from villages forced hundreds of orphans and underprivileged children to remain deprived of education. In such conditions, the establishment of an educational center was a vital need to open the doors of knowledge for the children of this region. In 2024 (1403 Hijri Solar year), with trust in Almighty Allah and the support of donors, the Rushd Charity Foundation established the Khair-ul-Anam School in Baraki Rajan, Baraki Barak district. The school was founded with a capacity of approximately 200 students, comprising 7 classrooms. At present, 150 students (boys and girls) are enrolled and actively studying, with the number steadily increasing. Project Objectives Provide access to education for orphans, poor, and deprived children. Reduce illiteracy in rural and vulnerable areas. Nurture a generation that is educated, aware, and committed to Islamic and human values. Ensure equal learning opportunities for both boys and girls. Establish a model for expanding education in other deprived provinces of the country. Project Activities Establishment of 7 primary classes with standard facilities. Separate classrooms and schedules for boys and girls. Recruitment of male and female teachers in line with educational and cultural standards. Conducting short-term courses and winter tutoring programs. Plans for setting up a library and computer lab in the near future. Preparing the foundation for upgrading the school to middle and high levels. Expected Results Direct access to primary education for over 200 children. Reduction of educational deprivation and improved literacy in the region. Academic and social development of orphans and underprivileged children. Strengthening self-confidence and instilling hope for the future in the younger generation. Laying the groundwork for higher education and producing committed and skilled professionals for society. Project Sustainability Rushd Charity Foundation strives, with the support of donors, national and international organizations, and local communities, to transform this school into a sustainable and dynamic educational center. Alongside formal education, supplementary programs such as skills training and cultural courses are also planned, enabling students not only to gain academic knowledge but also to acquire life and social skills necessary for personal growth and meaningful participation in society.
