Hohhot, China – September 15, 2025
The Second International Civil Society Solidarity Conference for the Implementation of the Global Development Initiative (GDI) was held from September 9 to 11, 2025, in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. The event brought together representatives from hundreds of civil society organizations, NGOs, charitable institutions, and social activists from various countries, providing a platform for exchanging experiences and strengthening transnational cooperation toward sustainable development.
At this conference, Engineer Ershad Ahmad Faruq, President of the Rushd Charity Foundation, was invited as a guest and spoke at one of the sessions about the foundation’s activities. In his speech, he highlighted the educational challenges in Afghanistan and migrant-hosting countries—including poverty, war, lack of infrastructure, and the deprivation of children from formal education—and emphasized the importance of addressing these issues. He noted that the Rushd platform was designed to provide standardized education for all Afghan children, without discrimination or limitation.
